...You're Late for Tea

"To all the ladies in the place with style and grace, allow me to" introduce you to one of the best things that my closet holds...this Coogi skirt and sweater set! I love this set because the pastel colors and feminine shape, for me, are very emblematic of a classic Chanel suit...it definitely gives me fancy tea party vibes.

I paired the set with a crisp, white button down, but to add some flare, I popped the collar and wrapped it with a gold choker. To make the look a little edgier and bring out some color, I wore my navy, over-the-knee boots. The starkness of the boots add a nice contrast to the softness (in color and design) of the Coogi set. I also added a printed, calf-hair waist belt to the skirt - while the beige belt matches the set in tone, its print adds a nice directional change to the overall pattern of the set. Finally, I accessorized with two different bags, the first, a beaded purse whose colors tie in perfectly with the pastels present in the set. Second, a leather, cylinder-shaped purse, intended to have the same contrast effect as the boots...In short, I'm "living better now, Coogi sweater now!"

Details: skirt/sweater: Coogi Australia (thrifted!); top, Calvin Klein; boots, Stuart Weitzman; belt, Urban Outfitters; choker, Forever 21; beaded purse, unknown vintage; cylinder purse, unknown vintage
