Color-Coated: Lemonade

Welcome to the beginning of my new series, Color-Coated! I love bold coats and jackets, and in this series, I'll be putting together looks with some of my favorite fall/winter coats. First up...Lemonade!

I was in Portugal when I found this amazing wool coat! I literally did a double take when I saw it; the bright yellow color is one of my absolute favorites. I chose an all-black foundation for the outfit because I wanted the coat to be the focal point of the look. It has a very tailored design, so I chose a turtleneck to emphasize the coat's broad shoulders (the turtleneck draws viewers' attention up, highlighting the top half of the outfit). To complement the angular structure of the coat, I chose pointy-toe heels, and to spice them up, I paired the heels with some fishnet socks.

I am so glad that fashion repeats itself - skinny sunglasses are back and my mom gave me all the fly ones she doesn't wear anymore! So to complete the look, I wore some silver framed shades and a furry, silver accented purse (I love the additional texture that the fur adds to the look).
